A race against time. It is happening folks when time sometimes can make you feel losing that distant memory in a wink. Where have all the sixteen games gone? Yes they are resolutely in the past, our summer golf season is just nine games away. Chiller days are reminding us lately what is eventually expected to happen. Again another threat of rain last Sunday at Royal Woodbine’s round of golf that did not happen. Thirty players plus two guests showed up but most were prepared for the rain forecast bringing with them rain gears. Better to stay dry than wet, was what they were saying.
A start of new beginning for Month 4 contest. Manny M.
who was very close third in his last two starts prior to last Sunday had disheartening runner-up finishes looming over him from Nassau corner victory, but this time he fared quite well. He finished with a net of 62, capturing his first triumph for a solo top 50 points earner. He was later quoted saying “I finally won after trying in sixteen games”. Could not happen to a more deserving man.
Nassau: Ricky R. proved that perseverance could return good dividends by winning the front nine. Manny M. racked up his winning for the day grabbing the back and overall.
Closest to the pin: The emergence of Bong M. of late fired a shot close enough to steal the fourth hole par three while a tie was declared for both Pat D. & Saed J. as winners of the tenth hole.
